Greenwood's cloverleaf interchange of U.S. 49 and Main Street presents a perfect picture.
At least that's the opinion of Craig Somers' film crew and Riverview Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
"We definitely have a good cloverleaf," Somers said.
On Wednesday, Somers filmed the cloverleaf from a helicopter for a television commercial about Riverview Hospital's heart program.
Somers, owner of Indianapolis-based Somers Film, said he'll use special effects to bend the cloverleaf into a heart shape.
Greenwood's cloverleaf was chosen from a bundle of road and interchange stock footage.
Somers said they stopped searching when they came across "the perfect one."
Through a little detective work, they discovered the stock had been filmed in Greenwood around 10 years ago.
Somers and his crew drove down Tuesday from Indianapolis. They stopped off in Memphis, Tenn., to pick up a helicopter camera mount before rolling on into Greenwood.
The crew spent Wednesday filming the cloverleaf and some of the surrounding barren cotton fields.
They had hoped that Mississippi would have greenery even during the winter. But Somers and crew found more similarities with Indiana.
The film shot Wednesday is on its way to Atlanta for editing and some special touches - green grass, for example.
The commercial is expected to air sometime during the Winter Olympics in the second week of February.
Somers said his crew had a great day in Greenwood. "We like it down there. We like the people."
