The exotic smells and luxurious decor of the Alluvian Spa more than welcomed Greenwood-Leflore County Chamber of Commerce members.
"I can't wait to come back," said Sonya Lishman, a registered nurse at Unity Hospice.
The Business After Hours mixer Tuesday evening provided chamber members tours of the facility's steam rooms, massage tables and elegant decor.
A ribbon-cutting was held at the Howard Street establishment Tuesday morning.
But Charissa Beavers, director of the spa, said that business there has been steady since the spa began receiving clients three weeks ago.
A lot of the business has come across the street from The Alluvian hotel.
Surprisingly, the number of men stopping by has been "higher than the average 10 percent of business," Beavers said.
The Chamber of Commerce expects the spa to assist in luring business to Greenwood, said Beth Henderson, executive vice president of the chamber.
"This is a world-class facility," Henderson said.
