Nine students are set to graduate from Leflore Christian School during a ceremony Thursday at First United Methodist Church.
Commencement will begin at 7 p.m.
Among the seniors graduating is Cheyenne Roberts, 18.
Roberts said she intends to attended Mississippi Delta Community College to complete her general education courses before transferring to Mississippi State University to earn a bachelor’s degree, although she said she has not decided on a major.
Roberts has attended Leflore Christian since she was in sixth grade, when the school was still known as North New Summit School. She was active in the archery club and the wildlife club as well as putting together the school’s yearbooks.
She said she will miss the small classes.
“My favorite thing about the school is just how small it is and you get more one-on-one time with your teachers,” she said.
She said she will particularly miss math teacher Pam Burns, who “was always there” and “always stuck with us” inside and outside the classroom.
