A six-run third inning led the Pillow Academy Lady Mustangs to an 11-3 victory Tuesday against Winston Academy.

Anna Taylor Hudson, Anna Grace Rice, Madison Jefcoat, Avery Howard, Jimmie Brook Garrett and Holly Whitfield powered the big inning with RBIs.
In the first inning, Winston scored on a fielder’s choice off a bunt.
Pillow exploded in the third. Jefcoat singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, an error scored two runs and Garrett’s sac fly scored one run.
Jefcoat allowed three hits and three runs over 22/3 innings, striking out four. Garrett threw 41/3 innings in relief — recording the last 13 outs.
Pillow tallied seven hits in the game. Brennan Neal and Jefcoat had two hits to lead the Lady Mustangs, who will play at Carroll Academy Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Anna Grace Whitehead took the loss for Winston Academy. She surrendered 11 runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out eight and walking zero.
