The Devils Devils came out firing on all cylinders and were able to pick up its first conference win on Monday.

Behind the shooting of Michael Green and Zachary Barnes (both had 12 points in the first half), the Devils shot 51.5 percent from the field, including 50 percent from behind the 3-point line in the first half, to snap a seven-game losing streak by defeating Alabama A&M 72-66 on the road.

Caleb Hunter was able to penetrate the lane and provide a few easy buckets to push the first half lead to 42-28 for the Delta Devils.

Hunter scored 19 points, and Green added 17 points for the Delta Devils (2-14, 1-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference), while Torico Simmons chipped in 15 and Barnes 12.

Cameron Tucker had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (5-10, 2-2). Garrett Hicks added 10 points. Cameron Alford had 10 points.

Mississippi Valley State matches up against Alcorn State at home on Saturday afternoon.
