Notice is hereby given that Sealed Written Bids or Electronic Bids for the Greenwood Utilities Commission, North Substation Projects 1 & 2, "Line Construction" will be received by the Greenwood Utilities Commission at the main office, 101 Wright Place, Greenwood, MS 38930 until, 2:00 p.m. on April 23, 2019 at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud in the Greenwood Utilities Commission board room.The Contractors Certificate of Responsibility Number must be plainly marked on the exterior of the Sealed Written Bid envelope, or included as an attachment to any submitted Electronic Bid documents. The Greenwood Utilities Commission requests completion of Projects 1 & 2 by September 25, 2019.

All Official bid documents, including but not limited to introductory information, procurement requirements, contracting requirements, general requirements, specifications, assemblies, reference drawings and any adendas from the project Engineer can only be obtained by downloading them from the Central Bidding website at www.centralbidding.com

A Pre-Bid conference will be held at the Greenwood Utilities Commission main office on

April 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm, 101 Wright Place, Greenwood, MS 38930. Bidders are encouraged and recommended to participate in the conference, but are not required to do so. A tour of the Project 1 & 2 locations will be provided as an optional part of the conference.

All bidders must complete all pages identified for Bidder's submission on the "Checklist for  Pages to be Completed" (Document 00 00 11). Bidders will be required to provide Bid security  in the form of a Bid Bond (Document 00 43 13). Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission.

The project Engineer will post any future Addenda to the Central Bidding website and anyone that has visited the project's information will be notified automatically of any addenda by email from Central Bidding. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective.

Contractors/Vendors wishing to download Bid documents from the Central Bidding website  must first register with Central Bidding. Central Bidding will charge a fee of $49.99 to download bid documents for a single electronic bidding process. All contractors/vendors can register on the Central Bidding website at no cost. Once a contractor/vendor downloads bid documents, there is no additional fee to place a bid electronically.

Public Notice

The Town of Schlater, Mississippi will hold a meeting on behalf of homeowners concerning the rehabilitation of homeowner units located in the corporate limits of the Town. Attendance at the meeting is mandatory if contractors desire to bid on the construction work required under HOME project no. 1228-M16-SG-280-329.  Bid information packages will be made available to qualified, licensed and registered contractors at the meeting to be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Schlater Town Hall located at 108 Beatrice Street, Schlater, MS  38952.

Only contractors attending the meeting will be provided a bid package for bids due on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Bids will be considered for the demolition, cleaning, cutting and/or securing structures of such individual property or one total bid on total number of properties.  Successful bidder is responsible for any asbestos removal if any is required.  The successful bidder must remove building or buildings from the lot and must clean lot completely of all concrete, sills, floors, foundations, tall weeds, dead trees, and all debris; the lot must be left in a reasonable smooth dirt condition; bidder will be responsible for disposal of debris in an approved landfill site and must take this cost into consideration when formulating his bid price.  The successful bidder must obtain a demolition permit from the Department of Community Development at City Hall.   The successful bidder is responsible for all electrical, plumbing, gas, telephone, cable and water disconnects for each property.
