It all adds up!
Raising taxes, ad infinitum, could encourage citizens to vote with their feet and stampede. At best, increases should be ad interim.
Be careful. You may create a desert without an oasis.

Regarding the article “Council trying to address $2.8M in back fines” (Aug. 21):
If the city of Greenwood had $2.8 million left over at the end of the year, why does it need a 4% tax increase?
If you repeal the panhandling law, we are going to have windshield washers at a lot of corners in town harassing folks.
