Pat Ellis’ letter

Regarding the letter to the editor by Pat Ellis (“We are blessed to live in America,” July 10):

It’s kind of hard to take seriously the opinion of a writer who considers a speech to be an “excellent history lesson” when it didn’t get the name of the Continental Army right, confused the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, and stated that George Washington captured an airport.

Pat Ellis’ letter was informed and thrilling to read.

If more people would speak out, we might have a chance to stop the direction the country has been headed up to 2016. Please continue to help enlighten those who don’t really understand or want to understand what’s at stake.

This is in regard to the cruelty that’s taking place at the southern border of holding children in cages.

Luke 17:1-3 says, “Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. So watch yourselves.”
