Roads and bridges
Regarding Charlie Smith’s op-ed column (“... But let roads crumble,” Jan. 15):
Roads and bridges never used to be a partisan issue. The interstate highway system was begun under a Republican president. It truly is a shame how short-sighted we’ve become.
Regarding the article “Advocates tout train travel’s benefits for Greenwood” (Jan. 18).
The train station has a lot of potential to serve as an attraction for Greenwood and could lead to other downtown improvements.
