The best of Greenwood was on display last week. That’s always the case for the annual meeting of the Greenwood-Leflore County Chamber of Commerce. This year the event was held last Thursday at the Leflore County Civic Center.  Locals who display a strong commitment to the Greenwood-Leflore community were rightfully honored.

It was good to see longtime Greenwood resident Gerald Glass back in town, the same place where he built his reputation as a scoring machine on the hardwood. The retired professional basketball player and former Amanda Elzy High School standout brought two state crowns to his alma mater in 2012 and 2013.

This event never disappoints.
