WILSON, N.C. — Services for Jim “Tootshoe” Jackson of Wilson, North Carolina, will be at noon Saturday at Buckhorn Veterans Park in Kenly, North Carolina.

Mr. Jackson, 66, died Sunday, April 14, 2019, in Greenville, North Carolina.

He was a tractor-trailer truck driver. He was born in Coila to Catherine and Richard Jackson and  graduated from high school in North Carrollton. He was a member of  Bethel Baptist Church and loved God, sports (baseball, basketball and football), Western movies and the taste of a good beer!

He is survived by four daughters, Gwendolyn Standbery-Ellis of Greenwood, Nyshira and Catherine Jackson of Bowling Green, Florida, and  Kelly Jackson of Wilson; a sister, Mae Catherine Jackson-Hansbrough-Davis of Dumfries, Virginia; and one grandchild.

Stevens Funeral Home of Wilson, North Carolina, is in charge of arrangements.
