July 28, 1951 - June 16, 2020

GULFPORT — Rhonda Livingston, 68, of Gulfport was born July 28, 1951, in Greenwood. After a life of faith, love and service, Ms. Livingston departed this life Tuesday, June 16, 2020.

Ms. Livingston was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Greenwood, where she served faithfully. She attended Threadgill High School. Ms. Livingston began working in the field of education as a special education teacher’s assistant at Stone Street Elementary. She thoroughly enjoyed the job and the kids whose lives she was blessed to touch. This was her path, and it was divinely ordained.

In her spare time, Ms. Livingston enjoyed reading, running — as she was a track star in high school — and watching Western television shows and sports. It is said that in life we will cross paths with individuals who will say little but make a huge impact. The family of Ms. Rhonda Livingston is eternally grateful for the time that they were blessed to share life with such a phenomenal lady.

Ms. Livingston is preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Daisy Thomas Livingston and Mr. Otis Livingston. She leaves to cherish her life and loving memories her children, Otis Livingston (Ramunda) and Trennis Livingston (Deniece); four siblings, Patricia Franks, Marva (Richard) Hammons, Crystal Livingston and Rylander (Roosevelt) Harris; seven grandchildren, Kolbie Livingston, Aysia Woods Livingston, Conner Livingston, Jordan Livingston, Aylanna Livingston, Aydisan Livingston and Nicholas Livingston; and a host of other relatives and lifelong friends.

Lockett-Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial celebration will be held in 2021 in Greenwood.
