Graveside services for Albert Watson Tate will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive Cemetery in Carroll County.

Mr. Tate, 90, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at Country Meadow Personal Care Home.

He was born Nov. 25, 1929, to Robert and Ollie Mae Merriweather Tate Sr. He was a retired insurance agent and cattle farmer. Mr. Tate was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and loved to hunt and fish, especially with his nephews and great-nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nell Sanders Tate; a brother, Robert Lee Tate Jr.; and two sisters, Elizabeth Tate Perry and Irene Tate Baugus. 

He is survived by his two sons, Al Tate of Brandon and Bob Tate of Ridgeland; a granddaughter, Whitney Tate of Tupelo; a sister, Margie Tate Galey of Sidon; a brother, Billy Tate of Sidon; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Fletcher Moorman will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Matthew Galey, Michael Galey, Colby Galey, Brad Galey, Tate Galey and Nolan Marshall.
