Dorothy L. “Dottie” Sharp, 74, of Greenwood died Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Golden Age Nursing Home. 

Visitation will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home followed by a 1 p.m. graveside service at Odd Fellows Cemetery. The Rev. Eddie Carpenter will officiate.

Dottie was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Grenada to James R. Sharp and Dorothy Horner Sharp. She moved to Greenwood after World War II with her parents. She graduated from Greenwood High School, Mississippi Delta Community College and Delta State University. She was a member of First Independent Methodist Church and the Mississippi Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margaret Crider; and a nephew, Ricky Hobson. 

She is survived by her brother, Frank James “Jimmy” Sharp of Benton, Arkansas; a niece, Kelli Martin of Anniston, Alabama; nephews Chip Bradford of Olive Branch and Jeff Sharp, Doug Sharp and Greg Sharp of Benton, Arkansas; five great- nephews and six great-nieces. 

Pallbearers will be Randy Martin, Chip Bradford, Jeff Sharp, Doug Sharp, Greg Sharp and Park Haddon.
