Services for Earnestine Dale of Greenwood will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Green Grove Church of Faith.

Ms. Dale, 73, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Earnestine was retired from James C. Gilliam Head Start Center, where she had been a teacher for 32 years. She was a faithful and loyal member of Monument of Grace Church and a member of Veleteers Federated Women’s Club. She was honored as Parent of the Year and Mother of the Year and was an avid sports lover. She loved family and people and Amanda Elzy High School and Jackson State University.

She is survived by three sons, Ronnie L. Dale (Tena) of Greenwood, Troy S. Dale (Shevlyn) of Shelby and Anthony B. Dale of Byram; three daughters, Patricia Dunlap (Maurice) of Greenwood, Bridgette James (Jonas Jr.) of Jackson and Tykitcha Lanier (Kenric) of Decatur, Georgia; a grandson, Cedric J. Dale (Adrienne) of Jackson; a sister, Shirley Moore (John) of Greenwood; and three brothers, Willie B. Jones Jr., Clay Jones and Earnest Jones, all of Greenwood.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home, followed by family hour from 6 to 7 p.m.

The Rev. Roger Head will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Cedric Dale, Maurice Dunlap II, Jonas James III, Kenric Lanier II, Marvin Cooper and Kaleb Lanier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie L. Dale, Troy Sherod Dale, Anthony B. Dale, Willie B. Jones Jr., Clay Jones and Earnest Jones.

Burial will be in Hudson Park Cemetery.
