Graveside services for Cynthia Brook Grant “Cindy” Sivley were at 11 a.m. Monday at Itta Bena Cemetery. 

Mrs. Sivley, 58, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at Mississippi State Hospital in Whitfield. 

She was born on Jan. 24, 1961, in Greenwood and resided in the Greenwood area all of her life. She attended Pillow Academy and was a member of First Baptist Church of Itta Bena. She was active in youth activities at church and was an avid softball player. While playing softball she won the state championship and played in the World Series in Texas, Florida and Alabama. She is preceded in death by her father, Al Grant. 

She is survived by her mother, Mary Brook Grant of Greenwood; a daughter, Brook (Shane) Sanders of Minter City; a son, Chris Sivley of Itta Bena; a brother, Mike (Betty) Grant of Oxford; and four grandchildren, Shelby Sivley, Mason Sanders, Alex Sanders and Logan Sanders.

Visitation was from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Andrew Kappenman officiated the services. Pallbearers were Jordan Slate, Heath Grant, Mason Sanders, Mike Grant, Lawson Tharpe and Ben Pittman.
