Services for Odies R. Blackmon Sr. of Houston, Texas, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sycamore Street Church of Christ.
Mr. Blackmon, 51, died Sept. 27, 2019, in Houston.
He was employed by Black Horse Carriers. He attended Greenwood High School and studied at Mississippi Delta Community College. He was a truck driver for more than 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Blackmon of Houston; a daughter, Parkeeisha Blackmon of Houston; two sons, Odies Blackmon Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, and Bryce Blackmon of Houston; a stepdaughter, Mya Robertson of Houston; a stepson, Aaron Robertson of Houston; his mother, Lenzora Blackmon of Greenwood; his stepfather, Underwood Blackmon of Greenwood; his father, Joe Baker Smith Jr. of Coila; three sisters, Zola Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee, and Joann Brownlow and Mary Williams, both of Greenwood; four brothers, Joe Oscar Williams of Atlanta, Otha Lee Williams of Greenwood, Charles Blackmon of Houston and James Blackmon of Toledo, Ohio; four half-sisters, Macy Wooden, Linda Jones and Lenora Bustillos, all of Greenwood, and Mary Ann Smith of Grenada; five half-brothers, Joe Vester Smith and Harvey Smith, both of Greenwood, Ozzie Smith of Southaven, Darrell Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Calvin Smith of Savannah, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home.
The Rev. Montrell Greene will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Anthony Jones, Willie Nason, Joseph Simpson, David Blackmon, Gerald Johnson and Charlie Criss.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Oscar Williams, Ozzie Smith, Otha Lee Williams, Charles Blackmon, James Blackmon and Joe Vester Smith.
Burial will be in Hudson Park Cemetery.
