Cora Marie Vance McEachern, 93, of Carrollton died Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Golden Age nursing home. 

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. The Rev. Mike Allday and the Rev. Chuck Carroll will officiate. 

On May 26, 1927, Cora was born to Edd and Nancy Vance. She lived in McCarley and Carrollton all her life. She was a member of Carrollton Presbyterian Church. She went to Draughon’s Business School and worked at Johnson Implement Company in Greenwood for 42 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan McEachern. 

She is survived by her caregivers, nieces Frances Flowers and Teresa Ansley and nephews Scott Montgomery and Jimmy Ansley. She also had Dan’s nephews, T.R., Cecil Jr. and Jimmy, and niece Mary Fiveash, who visited her and brought her much love and joy. She also had a host of other family and friends she loved dearly. She took care of her nephew, George Ansley, for years. 

She loved and was very great at making cakes and pies for family and friends. Her motto was, “Do good for others, pray and read your Bible.” 

Pallbearers will be Scott Montgomery, Patrick Montgomery, Jimmy Ansley, Jacob Ansley, Jason Ansley and Dewayne Ansley. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Costilow and Donnie Corley.
