GRENADA — Alice Spell Duncan, 79, of Grenada passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada.  

She was born Oct. 16, 1939, in Belzoni to Bardy and Frances Caldwell Spell.  Alice was a devoted homemaker and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.  She will be remembered as a loving, caring mother, grandmother and sister.  She was a precious soul who will be missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday at Moore’s Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County with the Rev. Lanny Haley officiating.  

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Valenti (Craig) of Fairhope, Alabama; one sister, Jean Spell Ferguson (Lee) of Grenada; one brother, Thadd Spell (Opal) of Greenwood; two grandsons, Christian and Joseph Valenti; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Michael Johnson.
