GRENADA — Mr. Claude Lowell Ledford, 80, of Grenada passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. 

He was born Nov. 26, 1939, in Sumner to Claude and Eula Idell Calder Ledford. Mr. Ledford honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. C.L. was a retired truck driver and had worked for many years prior to that as a paint contractor. He was an avid fisherman.

A visitation honoring C.L.’s life will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada. Immediately following visitation, a graveside service will be held at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Grenada with the Rev. James McElroy officiating.

Survivors include a sister, Jone Kennedy (Joe) of Grenada; three nieces, Terri Bardwell of Kennesaw, Georgia, Renee Brady of Liberty, North Carolina, and Archie Lynn Clanton (Mike) of San Antonio; one nephew, Allen Dykes (Tara) of Grenada; and special extended family he thought of as his own, son, Ricky and Debbie Johnson of Duck Hill; grandsons Kenny and Cecily Johnson of Duck Hill and Shannon and Jill Sicklas of Winona; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Archie Wilford Ledford.
