Community Baptist Church will celebrate its 12th anniversary. When: 3 p.m.  Details: The Rev. Cedric Reed, pastor of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood, St. James/Union Grove M.B. Church in Indianola and Mount Carmel M.B. Church in Belzoni, will speak. He will be accompanied by his churches and choirs.

Monday, March 12

Stop and Love Apostolic Ministry will have its youth rally. When: 7 p.m. Monday-Tuesday. Details: Dress code will be blue jeans and T-shirts or blouses with school or university colors. The theme is “Youths, It’s Time to Obey God,” and the theme verse is Ephesians 6:1-2. Minister Kameron Haymon of Drew will speak Monday, and Tyquasha Craft of Itta Bena will speak Tuesday. The guest choirs will be Rock of Ages Salvation Worship Center, Mount Pleasant M.B. Church Youth Choir and St. Mary M.B. Church Youth Choir. Other choirs also are invited. House of Prayer and Praise New Life Community Church will have a pre-pastoral anniversary celebration for its pastor, Apostle Ruby Brown, marking 20 years’ work.
