Salem Missionary Baptist Church will have Family and Friends Day. When: 11 a.m.

Bethel Christian Church will have Family and Friends Day. When: 2 p.m. Details: The Rev. T.C. Collins will speak, and the colors will be yellow and white.

Saturday, June 1

The Fifth Sunday Fellowship Scholarship Banquet will be held. When/where: 6 p.m. at the Leflore County Civic Center. Locus Benedictus Retreat Center will host a retreat titled “Empowered by Love, Part 2: Let’s Make Hell Tremble.” When: 7 p.m. June 7 and 8:30 a.m. June 8, with Mass at 4 p.m. June 8. A Destiny Driven Banquet will be held. When/where: 7 p.m. at the Leflore County Civic Center. Details: Tickets are $20 and include dinner and entertainment. A men’s gospel ensemble will perform. All proceeds will benefit the Greenwood Community Center.

Bear Marsh Missionary Baptist Church in Carrollton will hold its annual Youth Night Celebration. When: 6 p.m. Details: The Children of Praise Community Choir will render special music. Youth choirs and praise dancers will be the guests. The celebration will continue at 11 a.m. June 9, when the Rev. Ozell Landfair Jr., the church’s pastor, will speak.
