New Green Grove Church of Faith will host a women’s conference conducted by Just Walk of Faith Television Ministry. When: 8:30 a.m. to noon. Details: Minister Dell Totten-Walker will speak, and 11-year-old soloist Sammi Tremae Walker will sing. The theme is “Transitioning From Bitter to Better” (Ruth 1:20). The registration fee is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Make checks payable to Walking With Faith, LLC.

Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church  will have its annual Community Guest Day. When: 11 a.m. Details: Judge and attorney Carlos D. Palmer, Carlos Barbosa, Robert Sims and Zeta Amicae of Itta Bena will be honored for their service in the community.

Providence Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Youth Day. When: 10:45 a.m. Details: Ja’Kayla Dent and Brandon Henry will speak. The theme is “The Sermon We’d Rather See!”

Jennings Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will have Education Day. When: 10:45 a.m. Details: Children, youth and young adults will be recognized for their contributions to the church and achievements during the school term. The theme is “Celebrating Our Present Achievements and Preparing for Our Future Goals.” Dr. Rodney Washington, assistant professor of education at Jackson State University, will speak.

Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church No. 2 will have its annual Youth Day. When: 11 a.m. Details: Dazundreia McGee, a graduating senior at Greenwood High School, will speak. Details: The theme is “Christian Youth Making the Right Choices.” Youths and young adults are invited to participate in a mass choir. The colors are light blue, white and silver.

Saint Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church will have an appreciation program for Mary Gaston, minister of music. When:  1 p.m. Details: Choirs and soloists are invited and asked to prepare “A” and “B” selections.

Greater Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Women’s Day. When: 1 p.m. Details: Nallie Edith Gilbert will speak.

Holmes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Usher Board program. When: 2 p.m.

Samuel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Choir Day. When: 2 p.m. When: all choirs, other groups, soloists and musicians are welcome.

St. Peter Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Cruger will have its annual Youth and Young Adults Day. When: 2 p.m. Details: Jessica Brownlow, a 2015 honor graduate of Holmes County Central High School and a 2019 graduate of Mississippi College, will speak.

Myles Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Usher Day, featuring the City Wide Choir. When: 3 p.m.

Tuesday, May 21

Second Chance Outreach Ministries will have a revival. When: 7 p.m. May 21-23. Details: The Rev. Sammy Townes of Traveler’s Rest M.B. Church will speak.

The Montgomery Carroll District Association will have its annual revival. When/where: 7:30 p.m. May 21-23 at Vaiden Friendship Baptist Church. Details: Members of the district will speak. The event was moved from Union Grove Church.

Saturday, May 25

The 21st Annual Shelton Crusade, hosted by Elder Nathaniel Shelton, will be held. When/where: Noon to 6 p.m. at the Charleston Square in Charleston. Details:  The theme is “On the Battlefield for Our Lord,” and there will be preaching, singing, praying and praise. Other speakers will include Pastor Lafayette Morris, Minister Byron Morris, Pastor Frazier McClyne, Elder Bobbie McClyne, Elder Anthony Lacy, Elder Shawanna Lacy, Minister Dr. Wanda Merritt, Pastor Carl Ray, Pastor Clint Brown,  Minister Rose Toy, Elder Earlean Richardson and others.

Community Baptist Church will have its Welcome Home worship service. When: 9:15 a.m. Details: The Rev. Dr. Charles L. Hopkins, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Oakland, California, will speak.

St. Paul Cathedral will have an appreciation service for its secretaries, Evangelist Josie Childs and Minister Carolyn Gunn. When: 8:45 a.m. Details: Prophetess Sharese Moore, a member of the church, will be the guest speaker.

Bethel Christian Church will have Family and Friends Day.    When: 2 p.m.

Greater Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church will have a benefit program for Evelyn Jackson Hunter, who is fighting breast cancer. When: 3 p.m. Details: Choirs, other groups, soloists and praise worshippers are invited. The event was scheduled for May 4 but postponed due to weather.

Saturday, June 1

The Fifth Sunday Fellowship Scholarship Banquet will be held. When/where: 6 p.m. at the Leflore County Civic Center. Details: Abe McGlothin Jr., formerly of Greenwood and now an assistant U.S. attorney in Dallas, will speak. Tickets are $25 and can be bought at Locust Grove M.B. Church, Union Grove M.B. Church, Jones Chapel No. 2 M.B. Church or Community Baptist Church.

Bethel Christian Church will have an appreciation program for its pastor, Kenneth McClung. When: 2 p.m. Details: Bishop Milton Glass of New Green Grove Church of Faith will speak. The colors are yellow, black and white.

Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Money will have its spring revival. When: 7 p.m. June 10-12. Details: The speakers will be: June 10, the Rev. Kenneth W.
