The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department has charged a Vaiden resident with several drug-related offenses.
Lamaracus Cook, 27, was arrested Friday following a traffic stop along Mississippi 35 and Interstate 55 in Vaiden. Cook fled his vehicle on foot, but deputies caught him. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine (about 1 ounce), cocaine (approximately 1 ounce) and Ecstasy as well as disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
He was taken to the Carroll County Jail and released Monday on his own recognizance by order of Justice Court Judge Dorothy Branch, the Sheriff’s Department said.
