Big day at the park

Down Home Blues Fest promoter John Ray, right, stands with a couple of people enjoying Saturday’s blues music festival at Florewood Park. Ray told county supervisors on Monday that the event drew a crowd between 4,000 to 6,000 people with no incidents besides backed-up traffic waiting to get into the park. He said it was “the largest crowd there’s ever been in Florewood Park” and said he hoped the success of the event will make the supervisors realize the potential for using the park for concerts and events.
