New stop signs installed

In an effort to better control the pace of traffic at Greenwood Leflore Hospital and Emergency Department entrances, the hospital has collaborated with the city of Greenwood to install new stop signs along Strong Avenue. There is now a four-way stop at the intersection of Strong Avenue and Ninth Street at the hospital’s main entrance near Greenwood OB/GYN Associates. There is a three-way stop at the intersection of Strong Avenue and Seventh Street at the back employee parking lot entrance near Delta Surgical Clinic. Cross walks for pedestrians have also been painted on this stretch of Strong Avenue. The new improvements aim to keep Strong Avenue safe for vehicle traffic and pedestrians and control the pace of traffic in front of the hospital’s ambulance bay.

It would great if the City could see its way clear to install a four-way stop at the corner of Liddell and E. Harding. Need to slow the traffic going from Poplar the Weightman.
