Museum gives honors

The Museum of the Mississippi Delta held its sixth annual Arts, Leadership and Philanthropy Gala on Thursday evening at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity. This event is the museum’s main fundraiser of the year. At the gala, the museum also honors people and institutions for their time and resources given in the arts, leadership and philanthropy. Here, during the event, the museum’s executive director, Cheryl Thornhill, right, presents the Contributions in Philanthropy award to the Mary Emily Wilson Charitable Trust. Representing the Mary Emily Wilson Charitable Trust are, from left, Johnny Henson, Bob Morgan and John Pittman.
