Safe at third

Jackson Pannell prepares to hold up at third base as Trey Jones stops the shortstop from making a too-late relay throw during Tuesday night action at Church League Softball at Whittington Park. Pannell made it from first to third as his team, St. John’s United Methodist Church, took an early four-run lead over Jones’ Valley Hill United Methodist Church. Both teams showed the real spirit of the game before the first pitch when they joined together for a prayer at home plate.
