Wendy's to reopen May 29

Workers are finishing up interior and exterior design improvements on the Wendy’s restaurant on Park Avenue. It will reopen for business May 29.

Workers are putting the finishing touches on the Wendy’s restaurant at 816 W. Park Ave. in Greenwood in preparation for its reopening on May 29.

The restaurant has been closed for the past couple of months as crews installed new interior and exterior design elements, all the way to the sign.

“We are incredibly excited and proud of our remodeled restaurant in Greenwood, and we think the local residents will just love the new design,” said Brian McDaniel, senior vice president of Memphis-based Carlisle Corp., franchisee of the restaurant. “Our commitment to Greenwood has never been stronger, and we plan to continue to invest in and be an integral part of the community for many, many years to come.”

Carlisle, a family-founded company, owns more than 150 Wendy’s franchises across the Southeast.

A grand reopening celebration will take place on May 29, with a ribbon-cutting event at 10 a.m.

The restaurant will raffle off several prizes as part of the reopening.

If they didn't tear out the curb that keeps people from pulling out of the drive thru line, they didn't make enough improvements
