Black Hawk Dollar General attempted robbery

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department is looking for two male suspects in an attempted armed robbery Tuesday at the Dollar General store in Black Hawk. This security camera footage was captured from the scene.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s help for information leading to the identification and conviction of two men responsible for an attempted armed robbery Tuesday at the Dollar General in Black Hawk.

The Carroll County Emergency Operations Center received a call around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in reference to the robbery attempt.

The caller described the two subjects as slender black males, one of them about 5 feet 4 inches tall and one 6 feet tall. Only one man wielded a gun, Sheriff Clint Walker said.

Nothing was taken from the store.
