At least six shots were fired early Monday afternoon in the parking lot of Taco Bell off Yalobusha Street, according to an incident report filed with the Greenwood Police Department.

Police dispatched to the scene were told of people in two vehicles involved in the incident and began looking for a dark charcoal Dodge Charger and a black Mazda, reportedly headed down Sgt. John A. Pittman Drive toward Walmart.

Workers at Taco Bell told police a group of men drove around the corner onto Yalobusha and got into an argument with a group of men in the parking lot.

Another worker told authorities that a man standing in the entrance to the parking lot at neighboring Serio’s restaurant had shot at the men in the Taco Bell parking lot. Police found a bullet fragment on Yalobusha along with six .40-caliber shell casings in the Taco Bell parking lot.
