Mr. and Mrs. Robert Winborn Farmer Jr. of Cruger announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Karlee Bell Farmer, to Colby Brooks Carpenter of Greenwood.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Glenn Carpenter Jr. of Greenwood.
He is the grandson of Norma Jean Carpenter of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. William Glenn Carpenter of Money and Morris David Brunt Jr. of Greenwood and the late Nancy Goss Brunt.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Lewis Walker of Atoka, Tennessee, and the late Mr. Charles Walker and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Winborn Farmer.
Miss Farmer is a 2013 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2017 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a degree in early childhood development. While at Mississippi State, she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Madison Station Elementary School in Madison.
Mr. Carpenter is a 2013 graduate of Pillow Academy. He is a student at Mississippi State, where he will graduate in December with a Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy. While at MSU, he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. on Dec. 16 at North Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood.
The Rev. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate.
A reception will follow in Cruger.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited.
