The Fine Arts Department at Mississippi Valley State University will present a special joint faculty recital.

The performance will be held in the Walter Roberts Auditorium in the H.G. Carpenter Building on the Valley campus, starting at 7:30 pm. on Tuesday.

The recital will provide a rare opportunity to see and hear all nine members of the MVSU music faculty, performing together on one program.

A wide variety of musical styles and genres will be featured, ranging from traditional art songs and spirituals to contemporary music for brass to modern jazz.

Featured on the program will be percussionist Benjamin Arnold, mezzo-soprano Kimberly Broadwater, pianist Lawrence Goldman, trumpeter Kenneth Milton, trombonist Edward Morse, saxophonist Alphonso Sanders, guitarist and composer Paul Schreiber, clarinetist Kerry Anne Simon and bass John Weiss.

The recital will also mark a farewell for band director Kenneth Milton and choir director John Weiss, both of whom will be retiring from full-time teaching at the end of this semester.

The public is invited to attend this free performance.
