Jessica Blaire Perkins and Jonathan Hester were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on May 5, 2018, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Amory.
The bride is the daughter of Brad and Darnell Perkins of Carrollton. She is the granddaughter of David and Linda Teal of Sidon and the late Johnny and Dot Perkins. She is a 2011 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2015 graduate of Mississippi University for Women, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
The groom is the son of Mike and Ellen Hester of Nettleton and Bill and Phyllis Holloway of Amory. He is the grandson of Ann Hester of Nettleton and the late Noland Hester, and James and Joyce Holloway of Amory, and the late Bernis and Merigold Tartt, and the late Larry and Beverly Outlaw. He is a 2008 graduate of Nettleton High School. He graduated from Itawamba Community College, where he received an Associate of Arts degree. In 2017, he graduated from the University of Mississippi, where he received a triple minor in religious studies, business administration and music.
Given by her father during the double-ring candlelight service, the bride wore a Private Collection by Christina Wu ivory Duchess satin gown featuring an off-the-shoulder portrait neckline with a fitted bodice and satin-covered buttons that extended to the hem of the cathedral-length train.
Bridesmaids were Lelah Bridgforth of Yazoo City; Kayla Hester of Nettleton; Kalie Teal and Rachael Downs, both of Carrollton; Emily Kirkland of New Albany; April Jeffries of Wiggins; Amanda Phillips of Ackerman; and Olivia Phillips of Carrollton.
John Schlicht of Nettleton served as best man.
Groomsmen were Justin Perkins of Carrollton; Jonathan Perry and Christian Runyon, both of Meridian; Trey Doherty of Nettleton; Joseph Smith of Olive Branch; Zack Smith of Senatobia; and Jordan Hodges of Nettleton.
Ushers were Greyson Mays and Tucker Anderson, both of Oxford.
Serving as flower girl was Avery Claire Adams, the daughter of Brandon and Laura Adams of Amory.
The ring bearer was Izabelle Grier, the daughter of Matthew and Mrs. Libby Grier of Tupelo.
A reception followed at The Magnolia's in Aberdeen.
After a honeymoon in Dublin, Ireland, the couple are at home in Oxford, where the bride is a registered nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo and the groom and the groom is a youth pastor at Oxford University United Methodist Church.
