Miss Marianna Tollison and Mr. Trey Redd

Wayne and LaNelle Tollison of Greenwood announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Marianna LaNelle Tollison, to Frank Howard Redd III of Jackson.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Frank and Penni Redd of Brandon. He is the grandson of Phillip and Paulette May of Carthage and Bobby and Dorothy Hedgepath of Bath Springs, Tennessee.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Pillow Academy and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree.

She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she received a Master of Science degree in biomedical sciences.

While a student at Mississippi State, she served as MSU Student Body’s freshman class treasurer, was a chapter founder of America’s Medical Women’s Association and was inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Lambda Sigma honor societies. She is a Chi Omega Sorority alumna.

Miss Tollison is pursuing a profession in the medical field.

Mr. Redd graduated with honors from Brandon High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry.

At Ole Miss, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Gamma Beta Phi and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. He is a third-year medical student at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he serves as a student ambassador and has served on the student council. He will graduate in 2021.

The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2019, at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Richard Owens will officiate.

A reception will follow at the Historic Elk’s Building in downtown Greenwood.
