Mr. Brad and Mrs. Darnell Perkins of Carrollton announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jessica Blaire Perkins, to Jonathan Michael Hester.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of David and Linda Teal of Sidon and the late Johnny and Dot Perkins.
Miss Perkins is a 2011 graduate of Pillow Academy. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the Mississippi University for Women in 2015 and also attended Mississippi State University. She is employed as a registered nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Michael and Ellen Hester of Nettleton and Bill and Phyllis Holloway of Amory and the grandson of Ann Hester of Nettleton and the late Noland Hester and James and Joyce Holloway of Amory.
He is a 2008 graduate of Nettleton High School. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Itawamba Community College and a Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Mississippi with a triple minor in music, business administration and religious studies.
He is youth pastor at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Amory.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. May 5 at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Amory. The Rev. Ricky Wheat and the Rev. John Foster will officiate the ceremony. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited.
A reception at The Magnolia’s in Aberdeen will follow.
