Williamson, Taylor

Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Arnold Taylor

Morgan Elise Williamson and Matthew Arnold Taylor were united in holy matrimony at 6 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Flora.

Brother Dwayne Parker officiated the marriage.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Ray Williamson of Jackson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Williamson and Mrs. Andrea McDaniel of Clinton and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Horn of Pearl.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Long and Mr. Lee Taylor of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Henry Arnold of Greenwood and the late Harvey Harold Taylor.

Wedding guests entered the ceremony and were seated to music performed by pianist Heather Jones and organist Debbie Lewis. Emily Dance of Brooklyn, New York, was the soloist and sang “Wonderful, Merciful Savior.”

The chiming of the hour announced the arrival of the bride, who was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

The bride walked down the aisle in a simple, yet elegant, ivory gown from The Bridal Path, designed by Allure. With a bateau neckline, the bodice had a slightly dropped waist with the back falling to a V-shape, and was adorned with satin-covered buttons. A flattering A-line skirt accented the gorgeous satin finish of her silk Mikado ball gown. An element of sparkle was added with an ivory, crystal-beaded bridal sash that encircled her natural waist. She wore a lovely, waltz-length veil, designed by Toni Federici, which had a beautiful cascading shape and was trimmed in a luxurious satin ribbon. Handmade with tear-drop crystals and seed pearls, her earrings, designed by Thomas Knoell, and her hair comb, with hand-painted leaves, fresh-water pearls, and crystals, were the perfect combination to finish the bride’s classic look.

Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at Bridlewood of Madison, and the guests were invited to gather for dining and dancing. The musical entertainment for the evening was provided by Style Entertainment.

There was an assortment of food provided by 4Tops Catering.

Rachel Curtis of Posh Design Shoppe was the wedding coordinator. John Clemmer Photography captured the memories of the special day. The florals and design of the evening were created by Maggie Jones, owner of Magpie Floral Design.

On the eve of the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Long hosted the rehearsal dinner at The Gathering at Livingston Mercantile.

Following a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Flora.
