Mr. and Mrs. Charles Francis Brown III

Draper Love Matthews and Charles Francis Brown III were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2017, at The Grand Barn at the Green Door Gourmet in Nashville.

Chaplain Lelia Borders officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jackson Matthews of Greenwood. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Larkin Turpin Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. William D. Matthews. She is a 2000 graduate of Pillow Academy and a 2004 graduate of Delta State University, where she received a Bachelor of Business degree.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Francis Brown Jr. of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Nashville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Brown Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold G. Moisand. He is a 1997 graduate of Father Ryan High School and a 2000 graduate of Louisiana State University, where he received a Bachelor of Business degree.

Given in marriage by her father at the candlelight service, the bride wore a sable gown with a sweetheart neckline and ivory lace medallions on the shoulders and trailing down the length of the dress and train.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was her cousin, Katherine Bailey Ripp of Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Bridesmaids were Carolyn C. Matthews of Birmingham, sister-in-law of the bride; Maureen Higgins of Nashville; and Michelle Lippin of Midlothian, Virginia.

Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Greg Brown of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Groomsmen were Will Larkin Matthews of Birmingham, Alabama, brother of the bride; Nathaniel Thompson of Old Hickory, Tennessee; and Doug Faria of La Vergne, Tennessee.

Serving as flower girl was Cadence Love Matthews, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will L. Matthews of Birmingham.

A reception followed at the Green Door Gourmet in Nashville.

After a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple are at home in Nashville, where the bride is a channel engagement manager with The Buntin Group and the groom is a graphic designer with Brookdale Senior Living.
