Itta Bena’s Annual Octoberfest will be held. When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Where: Downtown Itta Bena. Details: The event is being presented by the Itta Bena Community Outreach Committee and sponsored by the Leflore County Board of Supervisors. Gospel music will be performed in the morning and blues music in the afternoon. Booth spaces are available. A booth space is $35 or $45 with electricity.

Order of the Eastern Star Electa No. 9 will hold a Breast Cancer Awareness program featuring Rava Pittman, a nurse practitioner. When: 10 a.m. Where: Greenwood-Leflore Public Library, 405 W. Washington St. Details: For more information, email electachapter9@gmail.com.

A Math and Science ACT Prep Workshops will be held Saturday and Sunday. When: The math workshop will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, and the science workshop will be held 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Where: Greater Turner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 717 Walthall St. Details: The ACT prep is open to participants in grades 8-12, college students and parents. There is no cost to attend. Participants should bring a pencil and a calculator, preferably the one that will be used during the real ACT. The instructor will be Dr. Kentrell Liddell. The sponsors are Dr. La Shon Brooks of Greater Turner Chapel A.M.E. Church and Jackie Lewis, principal of St. Francis Assisi School. Zeta Amicae Auxiliary of Itta Bena Theta Pi Zeta Chapter will hold a youth workshop. When: 10 a.m.-noon. Where: Greenwood Leflore Hospital’s large conference room. St. Francis of Assisi School will hold its annual Fall Festival. When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Where: On the school grounds, 2607 U.S. 82 E. Details: There will be activities for children, including games and inflatables. The event will also include bingo and a silent auction for adults. Chicken and fish meals will be for sale.

Children’s Health and Safety Fair will be held. When: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Where: Greenwood Leflore Hospital’s Outpatient Rehab & Wellness Center grounds. (In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to conference rooms 1A-C at the hospital.)
