Services for Tabares "Jent" Aldridge, 20, of Greenwood, who died of myocardial infarction Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at Greater Bethel Apostolic Temple.
Mr. Aldridge was a freshman at Mississippi Valley State University where he was majoring in criminal justice. "He wanted to become a lawyer. He wasn't into getting into trouble, he just did what he was supposed to do," said Kenya Aldridge, his older brother. He was a 2000 graduate from Amanda Elzy High School. Erica Leach of Greenwood was his girlfriend.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Lang Aldridge of Greenwood; five sisters, Jacklena Harris, Marquita Aldridge and Lasenia Turner, all of Greenwood, Natasha Woods and Desiree Woods of Carrollton; three brothers, Robert Lang, Martin Aldridge and Kenya Aldridge, all of Greenwood; and his grandmother, Bessie Lang.
Curtis Lang, Elder, will officiate at the services.Burial will be in Lokalonia Church Cemetery with Century Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
