Greenwood High opened its 2019 campaign with a 17-2 loss to Gentry High School Friday at Whittington Park. The Bulldogs, who had the first five games on their schedule postponed because of the weather, play host to Clarksdale on March 19. Greenwood is on spring break this week.

In the second game, Eupora came out on top 14-0 as it scored six runs in the first, two runs each in the second and fourth frames and four in the third. Kewon Wylie (0-2) got the loss for the Tigers, who fall to 0-5 overall. Leflore visits Elzy on March 20.

Amanda Elzy (2-1) has the week off and returns March 18 at Gentry. The Panthers have three other games on the schedule next week as they entertain Yazoo County March 19 and host Leflore on March 20. They go to Ruleville on March 22.
