Dandy Dozen: At 48, Gallagher adds to her already packed trophy case

If Mary Langdon Gallagher couldn’t win it, she wanted to be by her mother’s side while she tried to add to her already historic run at the Mississippi Women’s Golf Association Amateur Championship.

She got her wish on Thursday as Cissye Gallagher, 48, won her 12th State Am crown — defeating Southern Mississippi golfer Emily Ross 2 and 1 in the finals at The Oaks Golf Club in Pass Christian.
