Bobby Gene Vaughn, 83, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, formerly of Itta Bena, departed this life Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in Salem, Arkansas. 

Bobby was born to Brewer Vaughn and Mattie Dale (Goodson) Vaughn on May 19, 1935, in Calhoun County.

Bobby was the owner and operator of ABC Auto Sales in Salem, Arkansas, for more than 25 years. Bobby was a past member of the Elks Lodge in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and was of the Baptist faith. Bobby was the happiest either at his car lot or on the Vonderosa deck watching the deer. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, companion and friend.

Bobby leaves to mourn his passing a longtime companion, Phyllis Wiggins of Horseshoe Bend; two sons, Rusty Vaughn and wife Susie of Argyle, Texas, and Ron Vaughn of Horseshoe Bend; three grandchildren, Ryan Vaughn, Lauren Vaughn and Carli Odle and husband Michael of Highland Village, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Kinley and Hudson Odle of Highland Village; a sister, Blondean Minyard of Greenwood; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Maxine Crowson and Nadean Fitzpatrick; and a brother, Thomas Vaughn.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. An additional visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral services will begin after visitation at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Knight Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be officiated by Bro. Richard Fitzpatrick. Interment will be in Itta Bena City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a children’s charity of your choice.
