Earnest Phil Roberts, 62, of Greenwood died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery.

Mr. Roberts was born in Sunflower County to Robert A. Roberts and Villie Dempsey on June 13, 1956. He graduated high school in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a resident of Greenwood for the past 42 years, and he was employed at Viking Range the past 15 years. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sara Denson; and a brother, Robert A. Roberts Jr.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Linda Perry Roberts of Greenwood; a son, Terry Roberts, and his wife, Suzanne, of Greenwood; a daughter, Carrie Vest, and her husband, Frank, of Vidalia, Louisiana; a brother, Jerry Lee Roberts of Greenwood; and six grandchildren, Chris Vest and wife Zoie, Landon Vest, Breanna Vest, Emma Claire Vest, Saralyn Roberts and Nealy Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Jerry William Roberts, David Rutherford Sr., David Rutherford Jr., C.J. Robertson, Greg Walker and Ethan Haddon. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Rutherford, Corbin Walker, Gage Walker, Terry Roberts, Chris Vest and Craig Bontrager.
