Friendship Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Youth Day. When: 10:45 a.m. Details: Gabriele McBride and DaPrecia Moore will speak. The mass choir will rehearse at 2 p.m. Saturday. The colors are blue jeans and white shirts.

Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Carroll County will have homecoming and revival services. When: Sunday-Wednesday. Details: The Sunday morning service will begin at 11 a.m., followed by dinner on the grounds; Sunday evening   service will begin at 6 p.m.; and weeknight services will be begin at 7 p.m. Services will be brought by Pastor Jim Pender, and the musical service will be led by Benny Rigby.

Lunch will be provided after the service, and Pastor Mattison will conduct a seminar after the luncheon.

Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church will have its 164th anniversary celebration and homecoming. When: 11:30 a.m. Details: Minister Maurice Warren of Memphis will speak.

Jones Chapel No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 110th anniversary. When: 11:30 a.m. Details: The Rev. David Henderson, the church’s pastor, will speak.

The Lebanon District Women’s Auxiliary will have a “Parade of States” program. When/where: 3 p.m. at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Tchula.

Nehemiah Missionary Baptist Church will sponsor a booster program for the Melody Kings. When: 5 p.m.

New Green Grove Church of Faith will hold its annual women’s conference. When: Registration starts at 8 a.m. Details: Workshop topics will include “Mental Illness/Suicide,” led by Phylandria Hudson; “Spiritual Wellness,” led by Shakevia Lumas; “Health and Wellness,” led by Dr. Kimberly Sandford; “Division in the Church,” led by Sheriel Perkins; “Domestic Violence,” led by Minister Dorothy Glass; and “Discovering Your True Identity,” led by LaFonda Brown. The conference speaker will be Co-Pastor Jessica Stamps of Tabernacle of Faith Deliverance Ministry in Tupelo. The cost is $5, and lunch is included.

Morgan Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will have an appreciation program for its pastor, the Rev.  Robert Anderson, and his wife, Cassandra. When: 2 p.m. Details: The Rev. Jessie Payne Jr. of Providence M.B. Church will speak.

Bear Marsh Missionary Baptist Church in Carrollton will hold its annual Men’s Day. When: 2 p.m. Details: The Rev. Men and women are invited to help form a mass choir, which will rehearse at 7 p.m. Aug. 28. The colors will be brown and gold.

Dixon of Greater Union Outreach Ministry in Lexington and Deacon Kevin Jackson of Providence M.B. Church in Greenwood. Deacon Fredrick Hearn of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church in Carrollton will be the guest soloist. The colors will be aqua, turquoise or royal blue, brown and ivory. Dinner will be served immediately afterward.
