GREENWOOD FIRE DEPT.

Responded to a car fire at the corner of Howard and Palace at about 3:20 p.m. on Friday, April 12. Six firefighters in four pieces of equipment responded to the call. They extinguished the fire in the engine of the 2004 Chevrolet Impala, owned by Hope Cooper, 1900 County Road 245, Lot 25. The car received smoke, fire and water damage.

Responded to a false alarm at The Alluvian Spa, 325 D. Howard St., at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Responded to a report of a tree limb falling onto wires in the yard of a house at 302 W. Adams. Three firefighters responded to the call and found no fire. The matter was turned over to Atmos Energy.
