Malouf Music torn down

Above: The former location of Malouf Music Co. becomes a piece of history Friday as crews tear down the building on a triangle of land between George Street and East Gibbs Street. The business was operated by Abe Malouf from the early 1950s into the early 2000s, his family said. It was the center of a juke box, arcade games and vending machines business that spanned the Delta. At one time, it included a huge record store that brought such rock ’n’ roll stars as Jerry Lee Lewis for visits promoting their recordings.
