VAIDEN — The acquisition of Cotesworth as a cultural and heritage landmark should be complete by late fall, says state Sen. Lydia Chassaniol.

With the help of $2 million in bond money allotted by the Legislature, the ancestral home of 19th century U.S. Sen. J.Z. George will be purchased, restored and maintained, the Winona Republican told the Carroll County Board of Supervisors Monday. Additional private contributions will also be sought, she said.
