This foolishness has gone on long enough. The employees of the county/city 's largest employer should be as mad as a wet hen. This hospital belongs to us: city/county tax paying citizens. If a referendum is necessary, then a referendum it will be. With all the voting constituents in Greenwood-Leflore County, why would we allow 17 people decide the fate of our hospital (7 city councilmen, 5 county supervisors, 5 hospital board members)? The majority of the "17" is incompetent. Our voting power far exceeds theirs. Wake up hospital population. Your jobs may be in jeopardy. This fight has been brought into our backyard. Let's defend what is rightfully ours.
