TCHULA — A 61-year-old man was found dead in his home near Tchula on Wednesday from trauma to the head, and his death is being investigated as a homicide, Holmes County Sheriff Willie March said today.

Paul Sharpe, who had last been seen on Monday, was found in the kitchen area of the home.

There was a large amount of blood at the scene, according to WLBT-TV.

According to The Associated Press, March said family members called 911 after they found the body and authorities think Sharpe may have been there a few days.

There was no forced entry into the home, March told WLBT-TV.

March said his department has received some calls about the death and is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call Holmes County CrimeStoppers at (662) 834-0099.
